Analysis in the left menu opens a page with all the report tools. You see only the ones your role allows. Everything follows the dates you choose, and honours the courier and shop you are allowed to handle.
The tools
- Population map
- Every order as a point on the map, with what became of it. See Population map.
- Returns
- Why parcels come back. All parcels of the period are grouped by courier, city, cash on delivery or prepaid, order value, day of the week and new or returning customer. Each group shows how many were sent, the delivery and return rates, and the money in returned parcels. A short list at the top points out what stands out, for example a courier or a city that returns far more than the rest. Under it the reasons the couriers gave (customer refused, not reachable, wrong address…) are counted. Different spellings of one city that the tracker knows are added together.
- Customers
- People are told apart by their phone number, so one person who ordered three times is one customer. You see how many customers you have, how many bought again, your best customers and the risky customers (people whose parcels came back). Both lists can be saved as a spreadsheet file.
- Order timing
- A grid of the week, hour by hour, showing when orders arrive (darker is busier), plus week-by-week growth. Switch between order count and Rs. Use it to choose when to post, when to send messages and when someone should be at the phone to confirm orders.
- Courier scorecard
- How each courier performs. See Courier scorecard.
- Analyse reports and Revenue
- The courier payment reports and the real revenue after taxes and fees. They used to be on the dashboard. They are the same reports, now with the other Analysis tools.
Reading the numbers well
- A rate over only a few parcels is a guess. The tools show the number of parcels beside each rate and leave very small groups out of the rankings.
- A parcel still on the way is not counted as delivered or returned, so a rate can change as the last parcels arrive. Look at older dates for a stable picture.
- The payment type comes from the order: cash on delivery if money was due at the door, prepaid if the shop shows it as paid. If the order does not say, it is shown as Unknown.
TipStart with Returns for the last 90 days. If one city or one order size returns far more than the rest, check the address and confirmation call for those orders before looking at anything else.
