First-time setup checklist

For admins

The settings to fill in once, in a sensible order, so everything works from day one.

Everything is under Settings in the left menu (Store › Settings). Open it to see its sections: General, Plan and usage, Billing, Users and permissions, Warehouses, Couriers, Sales channels, Banks, Labels & printing, Calendar markers, Notifications, Developer and Data. You only see the sections you are allowed to use.

A new store also shows a progress bar on the dashboard with the next steps that matter most; see Setup & health.

Settings, with its sections in the left menu.
  1. General - your store name, contact details and the address printed as sender on labels.
  2. Warehouses - say where your parcels leave from and where returns come back to. A new store starts here. See Warehouses.
  3. Couriers - press + Add courier and add every courier you ship with: PostEx, TCS, Leopards, or any other courier as a custom courier. Fill in each courier's setup and run its test page. See Couriers: adding and setting up.
  4. Sales channels - add your shop: Shopify, WooCommerce, your own website through our API, or a CSV file. See Sales channels.
  5. Couriers by city (Couriers tab) - which courier is chosen for which city on the Book page. See Couriers & cities.
  6. Order numbers and late days - what your order numbers look like (each sales channel, Orders & updates tab) and when a parcel counts as late (each courier, Order numbers tab). See where the order rules are now.
  7. Users and permissions - invite your team and give each person a role. See Users and permissions.
  8. Notifications - email, so claims go out from your address and you get a daily summary. See Email & daily summary.
TipYou can come back to any of these later. Nothing breaks if something is missing; the pages tell you what still needs setting up.
