Payments: Paid, Partially paid and COD

Record money that reached you outside the courier, so the courier only collects what is still due.

Every order is in one of three states:

StateMeaning
CODNothing received yet. The courier collects the whole total.
Partially paidSome money arrived (for example an advance). The courier collects only the rest.
PaidAll of it arrived. The courier collects nothing.

Recording a payment

  1. Open the order and press Record payment.
  2. Enter the amount received, how it came (bank transfer, Raast, JazzCash, Easypaisa, cash, card, other) and a reference if you have one.
  3. Save. The order's state changes and the amount the courier will collect (COD) goes down at booking.

Payments are also added automatically when you confirm a bank alert on Recent receipts.

In Shopify

A payment is marked paid in Shopify too, so the shop and the tracker agree. A small line on the payment shows whether Shopify accepted it; if it did not, press Send again on that payment.

NoteRemoving a payment here (Remove this payment) puts the order back in the tracker, but Shopify keeps showing it as paid if it was already sent. The message tells you when this applies; change it in Shopify as well.

A discount for paying in advance

If your store gives a discount to customers who pay by bank transfer, Raast or a wallet, the payment dialog notices it: when the amount is the price less the discount, a box appears saying so and is ticked for you. The order then shows Paid and the courier collects nothing. The money and the discount are kept as two separate figures on the order (Money received and Discount allowed). Set it up once: Discount for paying in advance.

Paying Rs 4,275 for a Rs 4,500 order: the box offers the 5% bank-transfer discount.

Part payments: tell the customer what is left

When a payment leaves part of the order unpaid, the dialog can email the customer how much was received and how much is left. See Telling the customer what is left.
