Messages to your team

Write to one colleague, a few of them or the whole team, and see who has read your message.

Team › Messages is for talking to the people of your own store without leaving Order Tracker: "the Eid parcels go out on Friday", "who has the key to the stock room?", "the shop is closed on Monday". Everything written here stays inside your store. (The Team section appears in the left menu once your store has two or more people.)

A conversation. Your own messages show who has seen them.

Write a message

  1. Open Team › Messages and press New message.
  2. Choose who it is for. Tick one or more people (type a name to find someone), or choose The whole team if you are allowed to.
  3. Give it a short title if you like. If you leave it empty, the first words of your message are used.
  4. Write the message and press Send.
New message: tick the people it is for.

Read and answer

A message starts a conversation. Everybody in it sees every answer, so it is a good place to settle a small question together. Open a conversation from the list and write your answer at the bottom (Ctrl + Enter sends it). Conversations with something new are shown in bold with a dot, and a New line in the conversation shows where you stopped reading.

Who has read it?

  • Under each of your own messages you see Not seen yet, Seen by Dina or Seen by 3 of 7.
  • For a message to the whole team, the top of the conversation says Read by 3 of 7 people. Press it to see who has read it and who has not.

Writing to the whole team

Choose The whole team to reach everybody at once. By default people can answer, and everybody can read the answers; switch Let people answer off if it is only an announcement (you can still add to it yourself). People who join your store later do not receive older team messages.

A message to the whole team: who has read it and who has not.

The bell and the numbers

A new message adds one to the bell and to the number beside Messages in the menu. Opening the conversation clears it. Reading is personal: your colleagues still see their own unread messages.

The bell lists new messages and tasks together with notices from the platform.

Archive and search

Press Archive in a conversation to tidy it away; find it again under the Archive tab. A new answer brings an archived conversation back. The search box finds words in the titles and in the messages.
